A Snapshot of Your Day
You will support the Controls Project Engineering team within Siemens Energy’s Gas Services division, delivering control system solutions for gas turbine Modification & Upgrade (M&U;) projects.
The role combines advanced control system engineering, project execution, and technical leadership to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects from design through commissioning. You will act as a subject matter expert for PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems, collaborating with global teams, customers, and project stakeholders while mentoring junior engineers and driving engineering excellence.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of control systems for gas turbine M&U; projects
- Develop and review control strategies, system architectures, logic diagrams, and HMI specifications
- Manage controls engineering activities throughout project execution, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget
- Serve as the technical authority for PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems, resolving complex engineering and commissioning challenges
- Collaborate with customers, project teams, and multidisciplinary engineering groups to ensure successful project integration
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical capability development within the team
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities to improve system performance and reliability
- Provide expert-level support for the operation and maintenance of installed control systems
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or a related technical field
- 8+ years of experience in industrial control systems engineering, preferably within the power generation, gas turbine, or energy sector
- Proven experience leading complex engineering projects and mentoring engineering teams
- Strong expertise in control systems design and development
- Hands-on experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and SCADA systems
- Experience in process control, automation, and systems design
- Knowledge of Human Machine Interface (HMI) development and control system architecture
- Strong understanding of engineering design processes and project execution methodologies
- Experience supporting commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of industrial control systems
- Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Expertise in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system optimization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and engineering workflows effectively
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities within global and cross-functional teams
- Experience supporting gas turbine control systems and turbomachinery applications
- Knowledge of Modification & Upgrade (M&U;) projects within the power generation industry
- Experience working with international engineering teams and customer-facing project environments

A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for the auxiliary systems of our gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators, you will be responsible for supplier qualification, development, and implementing quality assurance measures. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams in a multicultural, global environment and contribute to the overall supply chain excellence.
In this role, you will leverage digitalization tools, manage supplier nonconformances, conduct containment and root cause analysis (RCA), and drive preventive and risk mitigation actions.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Support supplier qualification activities by assessing supplier capabilities and auditing their quality management systems and processes.
- Drive product and process qualification (PPQ) activities and approve supplier manufacturing processes via Manufacturing Quality Control Plans.
- Perform source, virtual, or desk inspections for components and systems in your scope.
- Coordinate supplier nonconformance management and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
- Monitor supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and adjust quality, inspection, and development plans accordingly.
- Facilitate or support supplier qualification and development review meetings, ensuring timelines are on track and risks are proactively identified.
- Work with multiple Supplier Quality & Development tools and databases, ensuring data accuracy, transparency, and structured documentation.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in a technical role within Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, Supplier Quality, or similar domains.
- Technical experience with industrial process technologies and/or auxiliary systems in energy generation plants (preferred).
- Experience conducting supplier audits; knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements preferred. Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is an added advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Hands-on understanding of root cause analysis, quality methodologies, and risk management tools.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30% as per business needs.
