Project Noon
Mumbai
About Project Noon:
Most people think sun care begins and ends with sunscreen. We don't.
Project
Noon is building India's first Sun Control brand that is reimagining how people protect, comfort, and recover from everyday sun exposure. We believe the future of sun care goes far beyond sunscreen, and we're creating an entirely new category of products designed to help people live better under the sun. Built at The Foundery, backed by Nikhil Kamath, Kishore Biyani, and Ronnie Screwvala, Project Noon is being built as a next-generation consumer brand with the ambition to define a new category from India for the world. By combining breakthrough product innovation, thoughtful design, and world-class brand building, we're creating a company that's changing the way millions of people experience the sun.
About The Role:
We're looking for someone to come in as one of the earliest members of the team and build Project Noon's content engine from the ground up. This isn't a social media manager role where you'll just be posting content or following a calendar. You'll work directly with the founder to shape how the brand shows up online and eventually offline too.
We're not looking to train someone from scratch for this role. We'd love someone who's spent a couple of years in content, brand, or creative strategy and already has a strong understanding of what works, what doesn't, and more importantly, why.
You should have good instincts. You should know the difference between content that's genuinely interesting versus content that's just following trends. We want someone who cares about taste, storytelling and building something with longevity rather than chasing every viral format.
Since we're an early stage company, this role is equal parts strategy and execution. One day you'll be mapping out a six month content strategy with the founder, another day you'll be on set helping shoot a piece of content or coordinating with an agency to make sure everything comes together the way it should.
What you'll be doing
> Build the content strategy from scratch
You'll work closely with the founder to define Project Noon's entire content direction.
This includes
- Building our overall content strategy
- Defining content pillars and themes
- Creating long term and short term roadmaps
- Setting content guardrails so everything feels consistent no matter who creates it
- Establishing our tone of voice and visual language
- Deciding what kind of stories we should and shouldn't tell
- Develop original IPs
One of the biggest parts of this role will be creating recurring content formats that people begin to associate with Project Noon. This could include founder led series, educational formats, interviews, community concepts, experiments, documentaries, street content or completely new ideas.
The goal isn't to copy what's already working. It's to create formats that feel distinctly Project Noon.
> Stay obsessed with the landscape
You'll constantly be studying what's happening across brands, creators and platforms.
- We're looking for someone who's naturally curious and asks questions like:
- Why did this piece of content perform?
- Why did this campaign fail?
- What conversations are people already having?
- What white spaces still exist?
We don't expect you to blindly replicate trends. We expect you to understand them and decide whether they actually make sense for our brand. > Founder content
You'll sit with the founder regularly to build founder facing content.
This means helping develop recurring founder IPs, brainstorming ideas, scripting where needed, giving creative feedback and making sure the founder's online presence feels authentic and consistent.
You'll also know when something feels forced and when it's worth pushing.
> Execute when needed
We're a startup, so everyone gets their hands dirty.
Some weeks you'll be deep in strategy. Other weeks you'll be coordinating shoots, writing briefs, reviewing edits, jumping onto set or helping get content out the door.
Being strategic is important, but so is being willing to execute.
> Manage creative partners
As we grow, we'll work with photographers, videographers, editors, creators and content agencies.
You'll become the bridge between Project Noon and these partners.
That means
Writing clear briefs
Communicating feedback
Making sure timelines are met
Ensuring the final output feels like Project Noon
Maintaining consistency across every piece of content
> Think bigger than content
One of the advantages we'll have is access. Whether that's founders, experts, creators, athletes, artists or unique locations, we'll have opportunities that most brands don't.
We're looking for someone who can think strategically about how to use those opportunities instead of taking the obvious route.
Sometimes the best idea isn't the most expensive one. Sometimes it's simply the smartest.
> Build a team over time
Initially, you'll be working closely with the founder and a lean team.
As the brand grows, you'll eventually lead the content function.
That means helping hire creatives, mentoring junior team members, setting processes and building a culture where quality comes first.
Good communication and leadership will become just as important as creative thinking.
What your work roadmap looks like:
Month 1 to 3
This phase is all about building the foundation before Project Noon goes live.
You'll work closely with the founder to:
- Build our pre-launch content strategy and GTM plan
- Figure out what stories we want to tell before launch, why they matter and when they should go out
- Establish our content pillars, tone of voice and creative guardrails
- Develop our first set of recurring content IPs
- Shape the founder's content strategy and begin creating founder-first content
- Work alongside the website team to plan and coordinate content required for the website, including product photography,
lifestyle imagery and any supporting assets
- Be present on shoot days to help oversee creative direction and ensure the final output aligns with the brand
- Build relationships with freelancers, creators and agency partners who may support content production
- Set up systems for planning, reviewing and executing content consistently
Month 3 to 6
As launch gets closer and eventually happens, the focus shifts towards execution and refinement.
You'll
- Lead execution of our content GTM alongside the founder
- Manage content calendars across channels
- Coordinate shoots, creators and external partners wherever required
- Review performance and identify what's resonating with our audience
- Refine existing IPs and experiment with new formats
- Ensure consistency across every piece of content that leaves the brand, whether it's social, website, campaigns or collaborations
- Continue evolving our creative systems as the volume of content increases
Month 6 onwards
Once the brand is established, you'll own the content function.
This includes
- Leading Project Noon's overall content and creative strategy
- Building and mentoring a small creative team as we scale
- Managing relationships with agencies, creators and production partners
- Planning larger campaigns, collaborations and brand moments
- Continuously evolving the brand's voice while ensuring every touchpoint feels cohesive and unmistakably Project Noon
- Helping identify current opportunities for the brand to show up in culture beyond traditional content
Working style
This role works best in person. We'd strongly prefer someone who's able to work from our office in Worli, Mumbai and be present for brainstorming sessions, shoot days and the day-to-day conversations that naturally happen while building an early-stage brand. There will always be flexibility where needed, but this isn't a role we'd want to build remotely. Plus, you get to hangout with the team everyday (i promise we’re very fun folks)…YAY :))
We're probably looking for you if...
- You have a few years of experience in content, creative strategy or brand.
- You naturally think in ideas, not just deliverables.
- You have strong taste and can tell the difference between timeless and generic.
- You're strategic but equally comfortable executing.
- You're organised and communicate clearly with both internal teams and external partners (yes external partners could on some days mean Kishore Biyani, Ronnie Screwvala or Nikhil Kamath too).
- You're comfortable giving and receiving feedback, and challenging thought processes when you feel right.
- You enjoy building things from zero rather than inheriting an existing system.
- You're excited by ambiguity and don't wait to be told exactly what to do (this is a zero corporate hierarchy company).
- You care about building a brand people genuinely remember, not just one that gets views.
If this sounds like the kind of challenge you've been looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
Project Noon is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diverse perspectives and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
