Azure Cloud Engineer (Infrastructure & Workplace Provisioning)

Years of Experience 5 to 10 years in IT systems administration, infrastructure provisioning, or cloud engineering.

Azure Specialization Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience provisioning and configuring secure Azure environments, virtual networks, and core cloud services.

Summary

Role Objective Act as the hands-on engineering force responsible for setting up, provisioning, configuring, and maintaining the target Azure cloud environments for the document processing and reconciliation platform[cite 4, 5, 6]. Working directly from the blueprints provided by the Cloud Architect, you will ensure that the virtual networks, computing, and storage systems are built securely and made available according to the strict project timeline[cite 4, 5].

Core Responsibilities

Cloud Environment Setup Physically set up, provision, and configure the Azure landing zones

Network Configuration Build out the virtual networks (VNets), subnets, private links, private endpoints, and private DNS zones to guarantee that all traffic stays isolated on the Microsoft backbone.

Storage & Core Compute Provisioning Set up and secure Azure Blob Storage containers,



ensuring proper access policies, SAS tokens, and immutable archiving configurations are in place.

Cognitive Infrastructure Config Provision and set up Azure AI Search clusters and indexing storage tiers to unblock downstream vector grounding and retrieval tasks.

Collaboration Partner closely with the DevSecOps Engineer to align your environment setups with Terraform IaC templates and automated deployment pipelines

Technical Requirements & Key Skills

Azure Core Administrator AZ-104 certified (or equivalent hands-on experience) with deep knowledge of Azure Portal administration, Azure CLI, and PowerShell scripting.

Network Engineering Strong practical understanding of virtual network topologies, subnets, Network Security Groups (NSGs), route tables, and Private Link setups.

Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) Familiarity Practical experience executing and adjusting Terraform or Bicep scripts to spin up enterprise resources.

Security Baseline Execution Proven capability implementing security policies, managing connection references, handling service principal credentials, and locking down resource groups.
