The Senior Business Analyst (BA) serves as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams to drive digital transformation and process improvements. The role focuses on translating complex business needs into actionable technical requirements while ensuring successful end-to-end project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Elicitation & Engineeraing Lead workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to capture business, functional, and non-functional requirements.

Documentation Author comprehensive artifacts including Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), and detailed User Stories with clear acceptance criteria.

Process Optimization Analyze "As-Is" workflows to identify inefficiencies and design "To-Be" optimized processes using BPMN or similar modeling techniques

Backlog Management Define and prioritize product features based on business value, managing a healthy product backlog in Agile environments.

Data Analysis & Reporting Utilize SQL to analyze datasets, extract insights, and create reports or dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.

Stakeholder Management Facilitate communication across cross-functional teams (Engineering, QA, Product)



and senior leadership to align project scope with strategic goals.

Testing & Validation Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining test scenarios, creating scripts, and coordinating with QA teams to validate that solutions meet business needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience Typically 6–10+ years of proven experience in business analysis within IT or software development environments.

Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

Methodologies Expert proficiency in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall SDLC frameworks.

Technical Proficiency

Management Tools JIRA, Confluence, etc

Modeling Tools MS Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, or Figma.

Data Tools Robust SQL skills for data validation and basic cloud concept fluency

Soft Skills Exceptional analytical thinking, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to translate "tech-speak" into business value.

Certifications (Preferred) CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMI-PBA, or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
