Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Software Testing Engineer with a solid background in automated testing, specifically using Playwright. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software applications through rigorous testing methodologies. You will work closely with development teams to identify issues and improve the overall user experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools.
- Perform regression testing and ensure that new features do not adversely affect existing functionality.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
- Provide status reports and metrics on testing progress and results.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong expertise in Playwright for automated testing.
- Proficient in writing and executing test cases.
- Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with other testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
