The role requires solid expertise in Linux administration and Kubernetes operations, with additional knowledge of CI/CD practices, container registries, artifact management, security controls, networking, and platform services such as PostgreSQL and Kafka. The engineer will work closely with application, development, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available platform services.

Kubernetes Platform

Operations

- Deploy, configure, upgrade, and maintain on-premises Kubernetes clusters.
- Troubleshoot cluster, networking, storage, and application deployment issues.
- Manage Kubernetes workloads, namespaces, RBAC, ingress, secrets, and storage.
- Support platform availability, capacity management, backup and recovery processes.
- Implement platform automation for provisioning, patching, and operational activities.

Linux

Administration

- Manage and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu, or similar Linux distributions.
- Perform OS hardening, patching, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and capacity management.
- Automate routine operational activities using shell scripting and automation tools. Support and improve CI/CD pipelines using Git-based workflows.
- Assist development teams with build, deployment,



and release automation.
- Work with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation frameworks.
- Promote DevOps best practices across application teams. Repository & Artifact Management
- Manage source code repositories using Git.
- Support artifact repositories such as Nexus.
- Support container image registries such as Harbor.
- Implement image scanning and repository governance controls.

Security & Platform Engineering

- Implement and maintain TLS and mTLS-based secure communication.
- Support certificate lifecycle management and renewals.
- Apply security best practices across Kubernetes and Linux environments.
- Assist with vulnerability remediation and platform compliance activities.

Platform

Services

- Support and troubleshoot PostgreSQL databases.
- Support Kafka clusters and messaging platforms.
- Assist application teams with platform integration requirements.
