Job Title: Junior Engineer – Detailed Engineering

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering

Reports To: Lead Engineer / Engineering Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare detailed engineering drawings (fabrication, assembly, general arrangement) based on design specifications and customer requirements.
Develop 3D models and convert them into detailed 2D drawings for manufacturing, fabrication, and site erection.
Prepare accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), parts lists, and material take-offs for mechanical assemblies.
Ensure drawings conform to IS/ISO standards, GD&T; requirements, and company drawing templates.
Coordinate with production, fabrication, and site teams to resolve drawing-related queries promptly.
Participate in design reviews, inter-departmental meetings, and engineering discussions.
Maintain drawing registers, version control, and proper document management practices.
Identify opportunities to improve drawing templates and drafting workflows.
Support senior engineers with design calculations,



feasibility checks, and concept development.
Continuously upgrade knowledge of CAD tools, engineering standards, and manufacturing processes.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Proficiency in 3D CAD software — SolidWorks (mandatory)
Working knowledge of AutoCAD for 2D detailing
Strong understanding of GD&T;, engineering drawing standards (IS/ISO/ASME)
Knowledge of manufacturing processes — fabrication, machining, welding, casting
Ability to read and interpret design inputs, P&IDs;, and engineering specifications
Valuable analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and coordination with cross-functional teams
Exposure to PDM/PLM tools is an added advantage
Self-motivated with solid attention to detail
