Job Description:

The role of Solidworks AE (Governance)involves working closely with customers to implement, support, and optimize PDM/PLM capabilities. We need to give detailed presentation to the decision makers which will enhance their overall productivity using our solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Support
Implement and configure PDM/PLM solutions based on customer requirements
Support deployment, upgrades, and troubleshooting
Ensure smooth user adoption and system stabilization

Governance & Process Setup
Define and enforce data management standards, workflows, and access controls
Establish revision control, document lifecycle, and approval processes
Drive best practices for CAD data management and collaboration

Customer Engagement & Training
Conduct user training sessions and workshops
Act as a trusted advisor to customers on PLM governance
Provide post-implementation support and continuous improvement recommendations

Integration & Collaboration
Work with CAD tools (e.g., SOLIDWORKS) and enterprise systems (ERP integrations where applicable)
Collaborate with internal teams (sales, pre-sales,



support) for project delivery

Documentation & Reporting
Prepare implementation documents, SOPs, and user guides
Track project progress, issues, and resolution status

Qualification & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
2+ years of experience in PDM / PLM domain
Hands-on experience in tools like PTC Windchill / Siemens Teamcenter (or similar)

Strong understanding of PDM/PLM concepts (BOM, workflows, version control, lifecycle management)
Knowledge of CAD data management (preferably SOLIDWORKS ecosystem)
Valuable problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to handle customer interactions independently
Solid communication and training capability
Valuable to Have
Experience in ERP integration with PLM systems
Exposure to process consulting / governance frameworks
Certification in PDM/PLM tools
