Responsibilities If you enjoy diverse challenges, this role will leverage your organizational and time-management skills across various activities, including field visits, office work, and project management for large commercial and industrial clients. You will receive comprehensive training to understand FM’s business standards, establish relationships with mentors, and learn industry best practices. Initially, your assignments will focus on learning and understanding risk assessment processes, gradually progressing to evaluating larger properties and complex risks. Your core responsibilities will include conducting on-site assessments of physical properties, including roof inspections and evaluations of site water supplies, dust hazards, chemical storage, and storage arrangements for client products. You will analyze structural and environmental factors that could contribute to potential hazards and develop engineering solutions aligned with FM’s standards.
Communicating your findings effectively to clients and stakeholders is vital, ensuring they understand the risks and recommended mitigation strategies.
You will work independently, utilizing your engineering judgment to identify potential vulnerabilities and propose practical, cost-effective risk management solutions. Collaboration with internal teams and clients will be essential to ensure that recommendations are understood and implemented effectively.
Your role will also involve documenting assessments, preparing reports, and supporting ongoing risk mitigation initiatives. As you gain experience, you will take on more complex assessments and contribute to the development of tailored risk management strategies for diverse client portfolios.
