Role Summary The Construction Project Head will have overall responsibility for execution and delivery of the logistics park construction program, including contractor management, project milestones, cost and schedule coordination, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

The role will lead coordination across all construction-related functions and ensure timely execution in line with the approved project scope, standards and the Concession Agreement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contractor & Project Management

- Take overall responsibility for all construction contractors and their performance.
- Conduct regular reviews and follow-ups with contractors to track progress, issues and deliverables.
- Monitor construction milestones and ensure timely completion as per the approved project programme.
- Define and finalise the scope of upcoming works to ensure continuity of construction activities.
- Support timely vendor identification and finalisation in coordination with the relevant teams.

2. Cross-Functional Site Coordination

- Ensure effective coordination between construction and all supporting functions, including Safety, Quality, Stores, Plant & Equipment, Accounts and Billing.




- Identify and resolve cross-functional dependencies that may impact project progress.
- Ensure adequate resources, materials, equipment and support are available for uninterrupted execution

3. Commercial & Vendor Management

- Work closely with the Accounts team to ensure timely processing of contractor/vendor payments.
- Monitor contractual cash flows and proactively address payment-related issues that may impact construction progress.
- Support commercial teams in managing contractor performance and contractual deliverables.

4. Corporate & Project Reporting

- Conduct weekly project review calls with the Corporate Office covering progress, milestones, risks, costs, key issues and upcoming activities.
- Maintain clear visibility on project status and escalate critical issues in a timely manner.

5. Authority & Stakeholder Coordination

- Work closely with the Liaison Lead to ensure timely responses to authority correspondence and resolution of matters affecting construction.
- Maintain a professional and constructive relationship with the Independent Engineer / Independent Expert or equivalent authority representative.
- Coordinate with the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) and railway authorities/contractors on approvals and inspections relating to the river terminal/jetty and rail siding works within the project scope.
- Ensure all inspections, submissions and approvals required for construction are coordinated effectively.

6. Quality, Safety & Compliance

- Ensure construction is executed in accordance with the standards and requirements stipulated under the Concession Agreement and approved project specifications.




- Maintain a strong focus on quality and ensure there are no compromises on safety or workmanship.
- Ensure all applicable safety and quality procedures and standards are consistently followed across the site.
- Take immediate corrective action where any quality, safety or compliance gaps are identified.
- Plan construction sequencing and site safety around the monsoon and flood season, given the site's proximity to the river Ganga, and ensure Environmental Clearance (EC) conditions are adhered to throughout execution.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong experience in large-scale infrastructure / industrial / logistics park construction.
- Proven contractor and project management capability.
- Strong understanding of construction planning, execution, billing and commercial coordination.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and cross-functional teams.
- Solid focus on schedule, quality, safety and cost control.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder project environment.
- Experience with marine/waterfront or hydraulic structures (jetties, berths, river-facing infrastructure) is an advantage, given the site's location on the Ganga (National Waterway-1).
- Experience planning construction around monsoon and flood-prone conditions typical of riverside sites.
- Familiarity with railway siding/track construction coordination and liaison with railway authorities or contractors.
- Awareness of Environmental Clearance (EC) conditions and their implications for construction sequencing and methodology near the river.
- Understanding of geotechnical challenges typical of riverbank/alluvial soil sites and their implications for foundation design and execution.

The role requires a strong project leader who can drive contractors and internal teams towards timely delivery while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and contractual compliance.
