Role Description The Construction Site Engineer will oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring interior construction and related works are executed according to design specifications, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.

Responsibilities include coordinating with civil and structural engineers, supervising contractors and site staff, monitoring progress against project timelines, and resolving on-site technical issues. The role involves conducting regular quality checks, maintaining site documentation, and communicating status updates to project managers and stakeholders. The engineer will also ensure adherence to local regulations and support smooth handover of completed spaces.

This is a full time,



on-site role based in Chennai, requiring presence at active project locations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong on-site supervision skills, with proven experience managing construction activities and coordinating multiple trades.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams, contractors, vendors, and clients, and to provide clear reports and updates.
- Candidates should possess quality control and inspection skills, with the ability to enforce standards, identify defects, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should possess structural engineering and civil engineering knowledge to interpret drawings, understand load-bearing elements, and support technical decision-making.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in interior fit-out, renovation, or building solutions projects will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in reading construction drawings, using basic site measurement tools, and working with MS Office or project management software is beneficial.
- Ability to work extended hours when required, handle multiple sites, and join immediately or at short notice.
