Role Description The Commi 1 for dimsum role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Commi 1 in dimsum will assist senior chefs in daily food preparation, cooking, and plating, ensuring dishes meet established quality and presentation standards.

Responsibilities include following recipes and menu specifications, maintaining kitchen hygiene and food safety practices, and supporting inventory management by organizing ingredients and supplies. The role involves working closely with the kitchen team, preparing mise en place,



handling basic cooking tasks across different sections, and helping keep workstations clean and efficient during service. The Commi 1 is expected to follow instructions accurately, maintain consistency, and contribute to a positive, collaborative kitchen environment.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Food Preparation and Culinary Skills, Dimsum making skills with practical experience in basic cooking techniques.
- Candidates should possess sound knowledge of Hygiene and food safety standards, including cleanliness and safe handling of ingredients.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with chefs, kitchen staff, and service teams.
- Basic Cooking experience in restaurant or hotel kitchens, with the ability to follow recipes and plating guidelines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility for shift work, weekends, and holidays.
- Relevant culinary diploma, certification, or apprenticeship is preferred but not mandatory.
