The Master Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining vehicles with advanced technical expertise. The role requires handling complex mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring quality repairs, and supporting junior technicians to achieve high service standards and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose complex vehicle mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
Perform advanced repairs on engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, braking, and electrical systems.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify vehicle issues accurately.
Ensure repairs are completed according to manufacturer standards and company guidelines.
Conduct quality inspections and road tests after repairs.
Guide, train, and support technicians and workshop staff on technical matters.
Coordinate with Service Advisors regarding vehicle repair requirements and status updates.
Maintain accurate job cards and repair records.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and workshop procedures.
Assist in handling technical escalations and customer concerns related to vehicle repairs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
ITI/Diploma/B.Tech in Automobile Engineering or related field.
5–10 years of experience in automobile service and repair.
Robust knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures.
Experience with manufacturer diagnostic tools and equipment.
Ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
Valuable problem-solving and analytical skills.
Leadership and team-handling capabilities.
Basic computer knowledge.
Preferred Experience
Experience in authorized dealership workshops (Kia, Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Toyota, etc.).
Certification from automobile manufacturers will be an added advantage.
