Job Description
We are seeking a Trainee – Stores to support day-to-day stores and inventory operations. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining stock records, issuing materials, receiving goods, and ensuring proper documentation and inventory control.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in receiving, storing, and issuing materials as per company procedures.
Maintain stock registers and inventory records accurately.
Verify materials received against purchase orders and delivery challans.
Ensure proper labeling and storage of materials.
Perform material issuance to various departments and maintain issue records.
Update inventory details in Excel, ERP, or inventory management software.
Maintain stores documentation and filing systems.
Assist in periodic stock verification and inventory audits.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality Control, and Accounts departments.
Ensure housekeeping and proper arrangement of materials in the stores area.
Follow company policies, safety guidelines, and documentation practices.
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and computer applications.
Valuable record-keeping and data entry skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Positive communication and coordination abilities.
Ability to learn ERP or inventory management software.
Basic knowledge of inventory and warehouse operations will be an added advantage.
