Job Responsibilities
Perform fitting and structural fabrication work as per drawings and measurements.
Read and understand fabrication drawings and dimensions.
Mark, cut, align and assemble structural steel components.
Perform fitting work for steel structures, frames, platforms, supports and fabrication jobs.
Work closely with welders for proper alignment and assembly.
Assist in loading, unloading and shifting of materials safely.
Handle and position steel plates, angles, channels, beams and other fabrication materials.
Use hand tools, measuring instruments and fitting equipment.
Ensure proper alignment, dimensions and quality of fabricated components.
Maintain workplace safety and follow company procedures.
Keep the work area clean and organized.
Required Skills
Good knowledge of structural steel fabrication and fitting.
Experience with welding and fabrication work will be an advantage.
Ability to use measuring tools such as measuring tape, vernier, square, etc.
Knowledge of material handling and secure working practices.
Ability to work in a manufacturing/industrial workplace.
