Duties & Responsibilities:
Demonstrated knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, jQuery/Java script and Ajax.
Deep expertise and hands on experience with Bootstrap framework.
Maintain and improve the performance of existing software.
Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues.
Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
Candidate must have a solid understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
Assisting the web development team with all aspects of website and application design.
Assisting with the testing and maintenance of backend and front-end applications.
Keeping up-to-date with the latest technology and programming trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications or similar technical discipline; or, equivalent demonstrable experience.
2 to 4 years of experience as a web developer; demonstrated success developing a variety of software systems while taking on increasing responsibility for analysis, design, implementation and deployment tasks with support.
Specific Knowledge/Requirements:
Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Photoshop is a plus.
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
Solid understanding of web design and development principles.
