Role Description This is a full time remote role for a Canadian Tax Analyst.

The Canadian Tax

Analyst will review and prepare Canadian tax returns, support tax compliance filings, and assist with tax planning initiatives for individuals and businesses. Daily responsibilities include analyzing financial information, interpreting Canadian tax legislation, identifying tax risks and opportunities, and preparing working papers and documentation for internal and external review. The role involves responding to tax-related inquiries, supporting audits or reviews by tax authorities,



and collaborating with team members to enhance tax processes and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Tax Compliance and Tax Preparation skills to manage Canadian tax filings and related documentation with experience of 1 year and above.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret legislation, analyze financial data, and identify tax issues and opportunities.
- Candidates should ideally have knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial tax laws and experience with Canadian tax software tools.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote environment.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field is preferred; professional designations (e.g., CPA, CA, CMA, or in progress) are an asset.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients are beneficial.
