Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented PEB Drafting Engineer specializing in preparing comprehensive General Arrangement (GA) Drawings and framing layouts for Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience interpreting structural design calculations and architectural drawings to produce accurate, high-quality, and erection-ready GA drawing packages.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed and accurate General Arrangement (GA) drawings, including:
Anchor Bolt / Foundation Reaction plans and setting-out details.
Roof Framing, Wall Framing, and Mezzanine Framing layouts.
Cross-sections, Longitudinal elevations, and Crane beam clearances.
Sheeting layouts, Trims, Flashings, Gutters, and Downspout details.
Canopies, Facias, Monitor roofs, and Walkway detailing.
Coordinate closely with design engineers to integrate primary/secondary member sizes, bracing arrangements, and connection parameters into drawings.
Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), Material Take-Off (MTO), and hardware summaries (Anchor bolts, Sag rods, Fasteners) for client approval and estimation.
Review architectural layouts to identify site clashes, crane clearances, door/window openings, and structural interferences.
Incorporate client/consultant markups,



revise approval drawings, and generate "Valuable for Construction" (GFC) drawing packages within project timelines.
Maintain standardized drawing templates, layer conventions, block libraries, and revision control logs.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Diploma in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
Experience: 2 to 5 years of dedicated experience in PEB drafting and GA preparation.
Software Proficiency:
Expert-level command of AutoCAD (2D/3D).
Familiarity with 3D modeling tools such as Tekla Structures, MBS (Metal Building Software), or Advance Steel is an added advantage.
Technical Knowledge:
Solid understanding of PEB structural framing concepts (Tapered frames, Cold-formed Z/C purlins, Portal frames, Bracing systems).
Knowledge of standard steel detailing practices and basic familiarity with IS / AISC / MBMA standards.
Solid spatial visualization and drafting presentation skills.

High attention to dimensional accuracy and detail.
Ability to manage multiple project deadlines efficiently.
Explicit communication skills to liaise with design engineers, detailers, and project coordinators.
