Role Description The Buying Merchandiser will manage product sourcing, selection, and purchasing for home decor (hardgoods and soft furnishings) and related product categories, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, analyzing sales and inventory data, preparing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries to maintain optimal stock levels. The role involves supporting product development with the design and merchandising teams, reviewing samples,



managing pricing negotiations, and maintaining accurate product and order documentation.

The Buying

Merchandiser will also help prepare presentations contributing to sales and marketing initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida.

Qualifications

- A transparent, distinct design point of view - can explain the "why" behind a collection, not just show pretty work
- Track record building a brand's aesthetic over time, across multiple product lines
- Experience planning seasonal collections and sequencing launches across a year
- Commercial sense - connects design choices to cost, margin, and what will actually sell
- Comfortable negotiating with vendors/artisans on cost, MOQs, and timelines without losing design intent
- Able to push back respectfully on leadership when instinct or data says otherwise
- Working knowledge of at least 3 of our core materials (cotton, PP, metal, wood, plants, stationery)
- Can translate a design vision into an actual store layout
- 5+ years in product/decor design, 2+ years in a lead or creative-direction role
- Bonus: home decor/gifting background, or familiarity with Indian manufacturing/vendor networks
