Company Description Instrumentation Automation Surveillance & Communication Sector Skill Council (IASC SSC) is an autonomous, industry-led, not-for-profit organization under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India. Supported by the Department of Heavy Industries and the National Skill Development Corporation, it focuses on building skilled manpower for the instrumentation, automation, surveillance, and communication sectors. IASC SSC develops National Occupational Standards and Qualification Packs aligned with the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF), accredits training providers and assessors, and certifies skilled professionals.
The council aims to create a robust skill development ecosystem by accrediting hundreds of centers, training thousands of trainers, certifying millions of individuals, and recognizing prior learning. Its work supports a strong human capital market, reduces skill gaps, and creates mutually beneficial outcomes for both industry and skilled professionals.
Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, OH. The individual in this role will identify and develop partnerships with industry stakeholders, training providers, and government bodies to expand IASC SSC’s skill development initiatives.
Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and engaging new partners, managing key accounts, preparing proposals and presentations, and supporting accreditation and certification programs.
The role involves conducting market and skill gap analysis, contributing to growth strategies, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of projects.
The Business Development
Manager will also represent IASC SSC at events and meetings to promote its mission and services.
Qualifications
- Strong business development, partnership management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in sales, account management, or program development within education, skill development, or related sectors.
- Ability to conduct market research, skill gap analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven capability in project coordination, planning, and execution of multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Familiarity with government schemes, skill development frameworks, or NSQF-aligned programs is beneficial.
- Comfort working in office in Delhi, OH, with readiness to travel for meetings, events, and partner visits as needed.
