Company Description Bhoomika is a nonprofit organization founded over a decade ago by Dr. B. P. Rath, with its roots in restoration and rehabilitation work following the Super Cyclone of 1999.

The organization focuses on providing quality eye care to marginalized communities, particularly individuals affected by cataract-induced blindness, a major cause of preventable blindness in India. Bhoomika established its first eye care hospital and training center in Odisha in 2007, recruiting staff from local communities to ensure accessible and community-centered healthcare. Through vision centers, hospitals, and eye examination camps in every Gram Panchayat, Bhoomika offers diagnosis, glasses, medicines, surgery referrals, and support for travel and lodging.

Over time, Bhoomika has also expanded its work to improve rural livelihoods, including secondary education, hygiene, and general health initiatives.

Role Description The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying and cultivating partnerships, funding opportunities, and strategic collaborations that support Bhoomika’s eye care and rural development programs. This full-time, on-site role in Current Delhi involves researching potential donors and partners, preparing proposals and presentations, and managing relationships with stakeholders such as NGOs, government agencies, corporate CSR teams, and philanthropic organizations. The role includes supporting outreach campaigns,



coordinating with program and field teams to understand operational needs, and aligning business development initiatives with Bhoomika’s mission and impact goals.

The Business Development

Executive will also track performance metrics, maintain accurate records in CRM or tracking tools, and contribute to communication materials that highlight program outcomes and success stories.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in business development, fundraising, or partnership management within the social sector or related fields.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders and representing the organization professionally.
- Ability to conduct market and donor research, analyze data, and translate insights into actionable strategies and proposals.
- Proficiency in documentation and basic office tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, CRM systems).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Development Studies, Social Work, Public Health, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is an advantage.
- Experience or interest in public health, eye care, rural development, or nonprofit work is highly beneficial.
- Capability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with field and operations teams.
- Comfort with regular interaction in both English and local languages, and willingness to travel to program locations when required.
