Why the Role Exists?
SanchiSaaS is our proprietary ecosystem management platform, live across government and institutional accounts. Every one of these accounts has its own workflows, reporting formats, and quirks, and right now that translation - from what a partner or program office actually needs, into something the dev team can build - happens ad hoc, through whoever's closest to the fire. That doesn't scale, and it means requirements get lost or misread between the business side and engineering.
We need someone who can own that translation layer- sit with partners and internal program owners to understand what they actually need (not just what they ask for), turn it into specs and user stories engineering can build against, and then make sure what ships actually solves the original problem.
Ideally looking for someone in Noida HQ or someone ready to relocate.
What you will do?
- Gather and clarify requirements from partners (government program offices, incubation centres, corporate innovation teams) and internal stakeholders (Programs, Partnerships, Sales) - including pushing back and asking the questions they didn't think to answer.
- Convert business requirements into clear specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria the dev team can execute without repeated back-and-forth.
- Own and prioritize the SanchiSaaS product backlog in collaboration with engineering - balancing partner-specific asks against platform-wide priorities.
- Sit in both business and engineering conversations and be the one person who can accurately represent each side to the other, including on scope, feasibility, and timelines.
- Track feature delivery against what was promised to partners, and flag gaps before they become escalations.
- Document platform workflows and features as they evolve, so onboarding new partner accounts doesn't require reinventing the wheel each time.
- Work with the Programs & Partnerships team to understand account-specific needs and decide what becomes a platform feature vs. a one-off configuration.
What are we looking for?
- 4 - 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Manager, or Product Owner in a B2B SaaS or platform company. Experience in gov-tech, ed-tech, or startup-ecosystem platforms is a plus but not required.
- Solid communication skills, tested in practice - someone who can run a requirements conversation with a government program officer and a sprint planning conversation with developers in the same week, and be equally credible in both.
- Comfortable with the vocabulary of software even without being able to write code: APIs, databases, workflows, system architecture, enough to ask sharp questions and sanity-check what "feasible" means.
- A track record of having actually shipped something - not just written requirement docs that sat in a folder.
- Structured thinker who can turn a messy, ambiguous ask into a clean spec, and isn't afraid to negotiate scope when business wants something engineering says doesn't fit the timeline.
- Comfortable working across multiple institutional accounts at once, each with different stakeholders and different levels of technical sophistication.
Nice to Have
- Prior exposure to startup ecosystems, accelerators, or government-backed innovation programs.
- Engineering or technical education background paired with an MBA or equivalent business experience.
- Experience with backlog/sprint tools (Jira, Linear, or similar) and writing PRDs.
What success looks like?
First 30 days: Has mapped SanchiSaaS's current feature set and backlog, sat in on requirement conversations for at least 3 active partner accounts, and shipped at least 3 specs through to development without major rework.
Ongoing: Requirement-to-delivery cycle time shrinks; fewer features ship that miss what the partner actually asked for; engineering trusts the specs they are handed; partners stop having to explain the same requirement twice.
