Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Analyst with strong application and production support/Testing experience in finance domain to manage day-to-day functional support for business-critical applications. The role will primarily focus on incident management, user support, change requests, Testing and coordination with vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities

Application & Production Support – Primary

- Provide L1/L2 functional application support to business users.
- Monitor application issues and ensure timely resolution within defined SLA/KPI.
- Analyze incidents, service requests, and application-related queries.
- Understand business processes and investigate functional issues reported by users.
- Reproduce production issues in UAT/QA environments and work with technical teams to identify the root cause.

Business Analysis Responsibilities

- Understand business requirements and translate them into functional requirements.
- Analyze change requests and enhancement requirements.
- Conduct impact and dependency analysis before implementing changes.
- Prepare BRD/FRD, user stories, functional specifications, process flows, and acceptance criteria.

Testing Responsibilities

- Prepare functional test scenarios and test cases for fixes and enhancements.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and UAT testing.




- Validate production fixes before closure of incidents.
- Coordinate with QA and business users during SIT/UAT.

Change & Release Management

- Analyze business and application impact of proposed changes.
- Support change-request preparation and implementation planning.
- Participate in release planning and deployment activities.
- Perform pre- and post-deployment validation.
- Coordinate business-user validation after releases.
- Ensure support teams have appropriate release notes and documentation.
- Monitor applications after production deployments and report any issues.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in Application/Production Support finance domain.
- Good understanding of business processes and enterprise applications.
- Experience handling incidents, service requests and changes request.
- Robust troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience working with SLA-based support environments.
- Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with functional testing and UAT.

Good to Have

- Experience with API troubleshooting/testing using Postman.
- Experience with database troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting integrations/interfaces between applications.
- Experience working with offshore/onshore support teams.
