About NexontNexont is a structural steel detailing and engineering services company delivering to AISC, CISC/CSA S16, SJI, SDI, and AWS standards using Tekla Structures and SDS2. We serve fabricators across the US, Canada, UAE, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, with a team of 100+ detailers across our Coimbatore headquarters and Kolkata delivery center.

Position SummaryWe are looking for a Business Analyst to build a clear, ongoing picture of how Nexont's business is actually performing — financially, operationally, and commercially — and to turn that picture into concrete recommendations that make the business more profitable and better run. This person will work closely with the CEO, Project Managers, and department heads (Sales, Delivery/Production, HR, Finance, IT) to pull together data that today lives in different systems and different people's heads, and translate it into a single, decision-ready view of the business.

This is fundamentally a cross-functional, data-to-decisions role — not a narrow finance or reporting job.

Key Responsibilities

- Study and continuously monitor Nexont's finances, active projects, customer accounts, and operational workflows to build an accurate, current picture of business health.




- Work with Project Managers and department leads to retrieve and consolidate data (project profitability, capacity/utilization, sales pipeline, customer trends, turnaround times, rework/quality issues, etc.).
- Identify inefficiencies, outdated processes, or systems that are no longer fit for purpose (manual workflows that should be automated, reporting gaps, tooling gaps, etc.).
- Prepare detailed, recurring business reports that clearly show: what's working, what's not, where money is being made or lost, and what needs to change.
- Analyze customer and project data to identify which segments, project types, or clients are most/least profitable, and why.
- Flag risks early — capacity constraints, client concentration, margin erosion, delivery bottlenecks — before they become urgent problems.
- Recommend specific, prioritized improvements (process, systems, staffing, or commercial) with a clear rationale and expected business impact.
- Track the impact of implemented changes over time, so recommendations are validated with data rather than one-off opinions.
- Act as a thinking partner to the CEO on "where is the business really standing, and what should we do next."

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration,



Finance, Economics, Engineering Management, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in a business analyst, financial analyst, or operations analyst role.
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (financial modeling, pivot tables); working knowledge of a BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work with data from multiple, imperfect sources and turn it into a coherent narrative and recommendation — not just a spreadsheet.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting findings to leadership.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and requesting data/cooperation from people who don't report to them.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have, Not Mandatory)
- Experience in AEC (Architecture/Engineering/Construction), manufacturing, skilled services, or a project-based/billable-hours business model.
- Exposure to ERP/project management/CRM systems; familiarity with Tekla Structures, SDS2, or steel detailing workflows is a bonus but not expected.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
- Prior experience setting up a business analytics/reporting function from scratch (since this function doesn't fully exist at Nexont yet).
