This role is open to freelancers, consultants and full-time candidates as well, provided they can dedicate meaningful time, take ownership, and be fully involved.

We're specifically looking for someone based in Pune with a strong understanding of local consumer behaviour, communities, creators, and retail marketing.

ABOUT SHAAR

Shaar is a contemporary gold jewellery brand creating lightweight, versatile and investable gold jewellery designed to be worn every day.

As we launch our first retail store in The Gold Souk at Amanora Mall, Pune, we're looking for someone to help build brand awareness, drive footfall, grow the community around the brand, and establish Shaar as a meaningful local presence.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

- Identify and execute offline marketing opportunities, pop-ups, partnerships and local activations.
- Build relationships with communities, founders, women’s networks, residential communities and other groups relevant to Shaar’s audience.
- Plan intimate events, previews, styling sessions and other experiences at the Shaar store.
- Explore partnerships with relevant businesses and communities such as fitness studios, cafés, corporate groups and lifestyle brands.
- Support store launches, campaigns, offers and other key marketing moments.
- Plan and execute Shaar’s monthly marketing and content calendar across Instagram and other relevant channels.
- Coordinate shoots, creators, photographers and other content requirements.
- Identify and manage collaborations with relevant Pune-based influencers and creators.
- Spend time at the store when required to understand customers, observe behaviour and identify opportunities to improve the experience and marketing.




- Speak with customers and gather feedback that can inform our content, products and communication.
- Help build our WhatsApp and customer community and create thoughtful ways to engage existing customers.
- Support CRM, repeat-purchase, clienteling and customer retention initiatives.
- Track what is working across content, collaborations, events and campaigns and continuously improve our approach.
- Bring new ideas and proactively identify opportunities to grow Shaar in Pune.

YOU MAY BE A VALUABLE FIT IF YOU:

- Have experience across brand marketing, events, social media, content, community, and influencer marketing.
- Enjoy working closely with founders and taking real ownership.
- Understand how lifestyle brands communicate.
- Have strong taste and an eye for good content and visual communication.
- Are comfortable speaking to potential partners, communities, creators, and customers.
- Can take an idea from concept to execution without needing a large team around you.
- Are organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple moving pieces.
- Understand Pune and ideally already have some exposure to its lifestyle and community ecosystem.

Experience in jewellery, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, hospitality or premium consumer brands is a plus, but not mandatory.
