Role Description The Bodyshop and Paintshop Trainer will conduct technical and behavioral training programs for automotive body and paint technicians, focusing on best practices, process adherence, and safety standards. This full time, on-site role based in Chennai involves planning and delivering structured training sessions, preparing training material and practical demonstrations, and assessing learner performance through tests and workshops. The trainer will collaborate with client teams to understand skill gaps, customize training content, and support implementation of standard operating procedures in bodyshop and paintshop operations.

Daily responsibilities include maintaining training records,



reporting progress to management, and staying updated on current automotive repair and refinishing technologies and OEM guidelines.

Qualifications

- Strong technical expertise in automotive body repair, panel beating, dent removal, and welding processes.
- In-depth knowledge of paintshop operations, including surface preparation, color matching, spray painting techniques, and paint finishing.
- Experience in training delivery, facilitation, and workshop-based instruction, preferably in the automotive sector.
- Ability to design and update training modules, manuals, and visual aids aligned with industry and OEM standards.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, quality control procedures, and productivity improvement methods in workshop environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse learner groups and provide constructive feedback.
- Comfort with basic digital tools for presentations, reporting, and learner assessment.
- Diploma or degree in Automobile Engineering or a related technical field; relevant certifications in automotive body and paint are an advantage.
- Prior industry experience in an automotive bodyshop or paintshop, preferably with exposure to OEM or dealer-level operations.
- Willingness to follow structured processes, work on-site in Chennai, and occasionally travel for training assignments if required.
