Role Description The Backend Development Interns – Team Leader role is a full time remote position responsible for guiding a small team of interns in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services for Healthletic’s AI-driven health platform. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating sprint activities, assigning and reviewing tasks, and ensuring code quality, security, and performance across backend modules.

Leader collaborates closely with front-end developers, product managers, and data teams to build APIs, integrate services, and support new features that enhance the user experience.



This role also involves mentoring team members, promoting best practices in object-oriented programming, documentation, and testing, and actively participating in technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Team Leadership skills, including task delegation, mentoring, and collaboration within a technical team.
- Candidates should possess Software Development and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills for building reliable, scalable backend systems.
- Candidates should possess Front-End Development and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) skills to effectively coordinate and integrate backend services with user interfaces.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, or similar), RESTful APIs, and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Candidates should possess good problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
- Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
- A background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and interest in health, fitness, or digital wellness, would be beneficial.
