About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic team in a leading Banking and Financial Services organization. This role offers an exciting chance to work on innovative backend solutions that support critical banking operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies, with a focus on delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.

The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend systems that meet stringent quality standards and comply with industry regulations.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in Java backend development within the banking or financial services domain. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,



or a related field is required. Proficiency in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture is essential.

Candidates should have hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs, working with message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ, and familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL. Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms, version control systems like Git, and Agile methodologies is also necessary. Additional preferred skills include cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.

Responsibilities The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and developing scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot frameworks. They will build and maintain microservices-based architectures to ensure modularity and ease of deployment. Developing robust RESTful APIs and enterprise-grade backend services will be a core part of the role, enabling seamless integration with frontend systems and third-party services.

The candidate will collaborate closely with product managers, frontend developers, QA teams, and operations to deliver high-quality solutions.



Participating in code reviews, troubleshooting issues, and providing production support are vital responsibilities to ensure system stability and performance. Additionally, the role involves contributing to technical documentation, implementing best practices, and continuously improving existing systems to meet evolving business needs.
