Role Description The Autocad Designer – Civil is a full time, on-site role based in Coimbatore. This role involves preparing and modifying civil engineering drawings and construction plans using AutoCAD, including architectural layouts, structural details, and site plans. The designer will interpret design concepts, coordinate with engineers and site teams, and ensure that drawings comply with relevant standards and project specifications.

Daily tasks include reviewing sketches, updating drawings based on feedback, organizing drawing files, and supporting space planning and layout optimization for various projects.



The role also requires clear communication with project stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve discrepancies, and support smooth execution on site.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in Architectural Drawings and Construction Drawings, with the ability to produce accurate, detailed civil and structural plans.
- Strong Drawing and Space Planning skills to translate design requirements into functional, practical layouts.
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with engineers, architects, site supervisors, and clients.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD (and preferably related design tools such as Revit or SketchUp) for civil and architectural drafting.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Understanding of building codes, standards, and basic construction methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, specifications, and site measurements.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple drawing revisions and deadlines.
- Previous experience in a construction or contracting environment in a similar design/drafting role is an advantage.
