? : Chartered Accountant (CA) - Audit and Taxation Manager (1-3 Years Experience)
? Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1 to 3 years of post-qualification experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in Internal Audit, Direct and Indirect Taxation, Statutory Audit, and Corporate Accounting. This role offers an excellent chance to manage diverse client engagements and contribute significantly to our firm's growth and client service excellence.
? Key Responsibilities
- Internal Audit: Conduct Internal Audits and management audits, evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and operating procedures. Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommendations.
Statutory Audit: Planning and Execution: Lead and manage the end-to-end execution of Statutory Audits (under Indian GAAP/Ind AS) and Tax Audits for a portfolio of clients across various industries, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and auditing standards (SA's).
Financial Reporting: Review and finalize financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., Schedule III of the Companies Act, 2013).
Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor junior team members and Articles, reviewing their work papers and providing guidance.
- Taxation (Direct and Indirect)
Direct Tax
Prepare and review Income Tax Returns (ITR) for Corporates, Partnership Firms, and Individuals.
Assist in handling Income Tax Assessments and compliance filings (e.g., TDS/TCS returns).
Provide advisory on routine Direct Tax matters.
Indirect Tax (GST)
Manage and review monthly/quarterly GST compliance including computation of liability, filing of returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C),
and reconciliation.
Assist clients with routine GST assessments and departmental queries.
Provide guidance on basic GST implications for business transactions.
- Accounting and Compliance
Corporate Accounting: Oversee and manage client accounting functions, including the finalization of books of accounts and ledger scrutiny.
Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate adherence to various regulatory compliances, including ROC filings and secretarial matters in coordination with the compliance team.
Process Improvement: Recommend improvements to client accounting systems, processes, and internal controls.
? Required Qualifications and Skills
Qualification: Must be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with an active membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Experience: 1 to 3 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role within a CA firm.
Technical Proficiency
In-depth knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS/AS), Auditing Standards (SAs), and the Companies Act, 2013.
Strong working knowledge of Income Tax Act, 1961, and GST laws.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
Soft Skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
Proven ability to lead a team and work independently.
