About The Role

As an Associate Product Manager (APM), you will operate at the intersection of customers, engineering, and business stakeholders—translating complex, real-world user problems into clear, structured product requirements that development teams can implement. You report directly to the Director of Product and will collaborate closely with engineering, client-facing teams, and internal stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements.

Your main goal is clarity: producing well-structured PRDs, user stories, and documentation that eliminate ambiguity. This role is ideal for someone who thinks rigorously, writes precisely, and thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements &

- Documentation

- Translate user problems, pains, and requirements into well-structured product requirement documents (PRDs) that guide engineering development.
- Write transparent, structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation for both internal and external audiences.
- Gather input from multiple stakeholders — customers, internal teams, and market signals — into actionable documentation that supports product development and decision-making.
- Create and maintain product documentation to keep it current as features and workflows change.

Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Team Managers, Engineering, and client-facing teams to gather, analyze, and document product requirements.
- Facilitate requirement discussions and workshops to identify the right questions and bring clarity to ambiguous problem statements.

- Act as a coordination layer between product, engineering, and business teams—ensuring everyone shares a common understanding.

Analysis &
- Market Intelligence

- Contribute to market and competitive intelligence efforts by monitoring industry trends, competitor capabilities, and changing customer use cases.
- Analyze customer feedback, support data, and usage patterns to spot gaps, friction points, and opportunities.
- Assist the Sr. PMs in assessing feature ideas and prioritization decisions through thorough analysis and documentation.

Who We’re Looking For We hire for four traits above all else. The rest is downstream of these.

- Clarity in communication: You can take a complex problem and explain it to engineering, sales, and senior stakeholders in a way that each of them can act on. Your documentation is brief, precise, and clear.
- Confident and coachable: You’re comfortable saying “I don’t know” and “I was wrong.”
- You stand your ground when you have evidence and update your view when the evidence suggests otherwise.
- Applied thinking: You analyze user problems thoroughly before jumping to solutions. You work backward from what the user is trying to achieve and notice the secondary questions others overlook.
- Fast learner:

You quickly acquire new skills, explore unfamiliar areas, respond to feedback, and figure things out. You don’t wait for instructions on what to do next.

Qualification &

- Requirements

- 1–3 years of experience in a product, business analysis, consulting, or a related role in a B2B or SaaS environment.
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills — you can break down ambiguous problems and clarify them.
- Excellent written communication — your documentation is clear, precise, and easy to understand without a meeting to explain it.
- Proven ability to synthesize inputs from various sources into coherent, actionable documentation.
- Comfort working closely with engineering teams — you don’t need to write code, but you should understand how software systems function.
- Attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture. A genuine curiosity about how products work and how users actually experience them.

Tools &

- Technical Skills

- Familiar with product and project management tools like Jira, Confluence, Notion, or similar.
- Comfortable working with data — able to read reports, interpret usage metrics, and identify key insights.
- Experience creating user stories, PRDs, or functional specs is a plus. Exposure to AI or SaaS products is beneficial but not required.
- Basic understanding of APIs or data flows is useful; you don’t need to be technical, but you should have a curiosity about technology.
