We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join Bristlecone India Limited as an Associate Manager in the S4 HANA Technical – Delivery team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining SAP OData services and ABAP enhancements, providing robust interface solutions, debugging complex issues, and delivering production support for critical SAP environments.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and optimize SAP OData services using ABAP and SAP Gateway.
- Implement ABAP enhancements, user exits, BADI implementations, and custom reports.
- Create and maintain interfaces (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, ALE) between SAP and external systems.
- Perform debugging, root‑cause analysis, and resolution of production incidents.
- Provide 24/7 production support and ensure timely issue closure.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure performance tuning.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Maintain documentation for technical specifications, test cases, and deployment procedures.
- Mentor junior developers and facilitate knowledge‑sharing sessions.
- Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, security policies, and change‑management processes.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience.
- Robust expertise in SAP OData services and SAP Gateway.
- Proficiency in ABAP OO, BAPI, IDoc, RFC, and enhancement techniques.
- Experience with S/4 HANA migration and related ABAP adaptations.
- Solid debugging skills and experience in production support environments.
- Understanding of SAP NetWeaver architecture and SAP modules (FI, MM, SD, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving,



and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and lead a small technical team.
- Familiarity with version‑control tools (e.g., Git, SAP CTS) and transport management.
