Associate – Construction Accounting & Internal AuditExperience: 2–3 Years

About the RoleWe are looking for an Associate – Construction Accounting & Internal Audit with hands-on experience in construction / real estate accounting, project finance or internal audit.

The role offers an opportunity to work closely with Project, Commercial, Procurement and Accounts teams and gain end-to-end exposure to project-related financial controls, contractor billing and accounting processes.

Key ResponsibilitiesConstruction Accounting & Bill Verification

- Review Work Orders, BOQs, Measurement Sheets and Contractor/RA Bills.
- Verify billing with respect to approved rates, quantities, work completion and contractual terms.
- Review project expenses and related accounting entries.
- Verify GST, TDS, advances, recoveries, retention amounts and other deductions in contractor bills.
- Check appropriate approvals and supporting documentation for project-related transactions.

Internal Audit & Controls

- Perform vouching and transaction-level verification of project and accounting expenses.
- Identify process gaps, control weaknesses and compliance issues.
- Prepare clear and concise audit observations along with supporting details and recommendations.
- Follow up on audit observations and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for closure.
- Assist in reviewing processes across Accounts, Commercial, Procurement and Project functions.

Stakeholder Coordination





- Coordinate with internal teams to obtain documents, clarifications and supporting information.
- Interact with project and commercial teams to understand project transactions and billing processes.
- Assist in preparing audit reports, working papers and management-level summaries.

What We Are Looking For
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in Construction / Real Estate / Internal Audit / Project Accounting.
- Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter.
- Good understanding of contractor billing, BOQ, work orders and project expenses.
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS and accounting principles.
- Ability to analyse transactions, identify discrepancies and understand internal controls.
- Good Excel and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Candidates with hands-on exposure to construction or real estate projects will be preferred.
