Role Description The Assistant Manager – Rubber Mixing will oversee daily rubber compounding and mixing operations in the factory, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to production schedules. This full-time, on-site role in Chennai includes monitoring mixing parameters, supervising operators, coordinating with quality control and production teams, and maintaining compliance with safety and environmental standards. The role involves optimizing material usage, troubleshooting process issues, maintaining documentation for batches, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in mixing processes and equipment.

Manager will also assist in training staff, implementing standard operating procedures, and collaborating with senior management to meet production targets and quality objectives.

Qualifications

- Experience in rubber mixing, compounding, or tyre manufacturing, with solid understanding of rubber materials, formulations, and process parameters.
- Skills in production planning, workflow coordination, and shop-floor supervision to manage teams and meet daily output goals.
- Knowledge of quality control practices, including inspection methods, process checks, and documentation for batch traceability.
- Ability to implement and follow safety, health, and environmental guidelines in an industrial manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in basic data analysis, record-keeping, and use of production or ERP systems for reporting and process monitoring.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in Rubber Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; prior experience in tyre or rubber industry is highly desirable.
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in Chennai and adapt to shift-based operations if required.
