About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant to join our Finance team as an Assistant Manager. This is a high-learning, high-exposure role offering hands-on experience across financial reporting, taxation, audit, and business finance. The role is designed for candidates who are keen to build a strong foundation and progressively take on higher ownership, with the opportunity to grow into a Finance Manager role over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Managing the preparation and finalisation of quarterly and annual financial statements
- Support consolidation of group financial statements, including intercompany reconciliations
- Perform ledger scrutiny and assist in month-end/period-end closing activities
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards
- Inventory & Cost Management
- Assist in monitoring and reconciliation of inventory and COGS
- Support improvement initiatives in inventory valuation and costing processes
- Coordinate with operations and stores teams for data accuracy
- Indirect Taxation (GST)
- Manage GST compliances including return preparation, reconciliations, and filings
- Assist in handling GST notices, assessments, and litigation in coordination with consultants
- Direct Taxation
- Manage direct tax compliances, filings, and assessments
- Coordinate with external advisors for tax-related matters
- Audit & Compliance
- Support statutory audit processes and ensure timely closure of audit requirements
- Liaise with auditors and assist in the preparation of schedules and documentation
- Contribute to strengthening internal controls and compliance processes
- Business Finance & MIS
- Assist in the preparation of MIS reports for management
- Support variance analysis
- Assist in project-wise profitability and margin analysis
- Contribute to business performance tracking and reporting
- Receivables & Project Monitoring
- Support tracking of project invoicing and receivables
- Assist in monitoring collections and highlighting delays or risks
- Process Improvement & Projects
- Support ERP implementation and finance process automation initiatives
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and SOPs
- Contribute to compliance readiness for new regulatory frameworks (e.g., labour codes)
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (0–2 years of experience)
- Strong understanding of accounting, taxation, and financial reporting
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- High ownership mindset with willingness to learn and grow
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Proficiency in Excel; exposure to ERP systems is a plus
