Role Description The Assistant Branch Manager is a full time, on-site role based in Angul, responsible for supporting overall branch operations and business growth. The role involves supervising daily branch activities, coordinating loan processing and disbursement, and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines.
The Assistant Branch
Manager will guide and mentor field and branch staff, monitor portfolio quality, track collections,
and assist in resolving customer issues. This position also includes conducting regular field visits, engaging with local communities, identifying new client segments, and supporting the Branch Manager in achieving branch targets and maintaining high service standards.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, team supervision, and people management abilities to support branch staff and field officers.
- Proficiency in customer service, relationship management, and conflict resolution in a microfinance or banking context.
- Sound understanding of microfinance operations, credit assessment, and basic financial analysis.
- Good organizational, time management, and documentation skills for overseeing day-to-day branch processes.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages relevant to Angul.
- Comfort with basic computer applications and digital tools used in NBFC-MFI operations.
- Prior experience in microfinance, banking, or NBFC operations is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to travel locally for field visits and work in community-focused environments.
