What You'll Do

As you ramp up on our Shopify Plus platform, you will be responsible for:
Maintaining and upgrading Shopify Plus Liquid templates, theme sections, and PDP extensions under guidance from the Architect and Senior Developer
Managing Shopify Metafields and Metaobjects — content operations, schema updates, and bulk data tasks via the Admin API and Shopify CLI
Owning the CI/CD pipeline for theme deployments using GitHub Actions — managing setting promotion across dev, staging, and production
Managing our iOS and Android native apps, both of which use WebViews for the commerce layer — your day-to-day is the WebView content, push notification configuration, and deep link routing, with occasional Swift or Kotlin fixes for minor native-layer issues
Coordinating with the mobile team or vendor when native changes go beyond the WebView scope
Supporting third-party integrations within the Shopify ecosystem as directed by the Architect

What You Need to Bring

We don't expect Shopify experience — we will train you on the platform.



What we do need is a robust foundation in one of the following:
If you come from a React / Node.js background:
Solid React fundamentals — component thinking, state management, props, lifecycle
Comfortable with Node.js — enough to understand Shopify CLI tooling, webhook handlers, and custom app scaffolding
Familiar with REST APIs and JSON — consuming and debugging third-party integrations
Some exposure to CSS and responsive UI — you don't need to be a designer but pixel-level work shouldn't be foreign

If you come from a Java background:
Robust object-oriented fundamentals and comfort working with APIs
Experience with structured data, schema design, or content modelling (maps well to Metafields and Metaobjects)
Some understanding of JavaScript/jQuery
Familiarity with build tools and deployment pipelines — GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD experience is a strong plus
