- The ideal candidate is an experienced Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform Administrator (OCP Administrator) with 8–12 years of experience, including a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience with OpenShift 4.x, preferably managing a large-scale production OCP cluster on bare-metal or on-prem installations. The core responsibilities encompass Day-0, Day-1, and Day-2 operations, including cluster management, end-to-end OpenShift and OS patching/upgrades, ensuring cluster security and compliance (CIS baselines, RBAC, NetworkPolicies), and managing all aspects of cluster networking (OVN-K, Multus, DNS, LoadBalancers) and storage (ODF/Ceph). The role is critical for maintaining high cluster reliability through continuous monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, EFK/ELK/Loki), managing backup and disaster recovery (ETCD snapshots, OADP/Velero),
and integrating with CI/CD and DevOps practices (Tekton, ArgoCD/Flux, Ansible automation). Mandatory technical skills include expertise in RHEL Linux administration, Kubernetes fundamentals, YAML, Helm, and GitOps, with robust troubleshooting skills across all layers. A Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280) is mandatory, with RHCE/RHCA and Kubernetes CKA/CKAD certifications being highly preferred. The OCP Administrator must be self-driven, possess strong communication and documentation skills (SOPs, runbooks, RCAs), and be able to work under pressure in mission-critical environments, adhering to ITIL processes. This is a 9x5 role with potential weekend support.
