Role Overview
We are seeking a senior‑level technologist with a strong hands‑on development background to lead engineering ownership and modernization across vendor / OEM platforms that power mission‑critical banking systems.
The role requires a practitioner‑leader who combines up-to-date software engineering practices with deep expertise in platform engineering, API‑led integration, security, performance, and lifecycle governance within a regulated banking environment.
The incumbent will act as a technology anchor—driving platform stability, modernization, and regulatory compliance while partnering closely with OEMs, internal engineering teams, and control functions.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Development
- Design, build, and enhance applications using OEM frameworks, toolkits, and platform‑specific SDKs.
- Own the end‑to‑end Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation.
- Design and develop APIs, microservices, and integration workflows aligned with enterprise architecture and reusability standards.
- Review and guide technical designs and code to ensure maintainability, scalability, and security.
Platform & Ecosystem Integration
- Lead integration of vendor/OEM platforms with core banking systems, middleware, and enterprise services.
- Partner with Infrastructure, DevSecOps, AWS Cloud, and Security teams (IRM / ORM) to deliver scalable and compliant solutions.
- Own remediation of VA/CA, AppSec, Checkmarx, and other security findings, ensuring timely closure and audit readiness.
- Drive platform upgrades, patching, certificate/key rotation, and roadmap alignment in coordination with OEM and Cloud teams.
- Provide technical oversight on CI/CD pipelines (preferably Azure DevOps) and deployment automation.
Security, Compliance & Risk
- Ensure strict adherence to change management, application governance, and audit controls throughout the application lifecycle.
- Act as the primary technology SPOC during regulatory, audit, and compliance reviews for owned platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex defects,
performance bottlenecks, and stability issues in collaboration with internal teams and vendors.
Performance Engineering & Quality
- Define and enforce standards for unit, integration, and regression testing, including automation and coverage thresholds.
- Leverage observability insights to support production readiness, go‑live monitoring, and post‑deployment stabilization.
- Optimize OEM platforms for availability, latency, throughput, and resilience, ensuring alignment with business SLAs.
- Drive high‑availability designs with a clear understanding of infrastructure and licensing cost implications, performing cost–benefit analysis prior to changes.
Production Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Lead production incident management, major incident calls, and root cause analysis (RCA) with preventive action tracking.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, version control standards, and knowledge repositories.
- Leverage AI‑assisted development and productivity tools to improve delivery speed and quality.
- Drive modernization initiatives, including re‑engineering, API enablement, cloud adoption, and process automation.
