Role Description The Anthology Compiler and Editor role at DNA Publications™ is an on-site position based in India. The individual in this role will review, select, and organize written contributions for themed anthologies, ensuring alignment with editorial guidelines and the company’s mission. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating submissions, coordinating with contributors, editing and proofreading content for clarity and consistency, and shaping the overall structure and narrative flow of each anthology.
The role also involves preparing manuscripts for production, collaborating with design and publishing teams, and maintaining editorial schedules and documentation.
The Anthology
Compiler and Editor will contribute to quality control and help cultivate strong relationships with writers and partners within the publishing ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Strong editorial skills, including manuscript evaluation, content structuring, and line editing.
- Proficiency in proofreading for grammar, style, and consistency, with attention to detail.
- Experience coordinating with authors and contributors, including managing timelines and feedback.
- Ability to organize and curate diverse content into cohesive, theme-based anthologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Familiarity with publishing workflows, editorial style guides, and basic document formatting tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Literature, Journalism, Communications, Publishing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated interest in books, intellectual property, and long-form content, with a commitment to ethical, inclusive storytelling.
- Robust organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work on-site and collaborate across teams.
