The Aircraft Interiors Design Engineer/Lead for the Airbus A320/A330/A350/A380 is responsible for designing, developing, and integrating cabin interior components while ensuring compliance with safety, certification, manufacturing, and customer requirements.
Academic Qualification:
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering.
Relevant Experience:
- 3–12 years of experience in Aircraft Interiors Design
Design aircraft interior components using CATIA V5/V6.
Develop 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
Design and modify:
1. Galleys
2. Lavatories
3. Stowages
4. Closets
5. Sidewall panels
6. Ceiling panels
7. Passenger service units (PSU)
8. Cabin partitions
9. Crew rest areas
- Perform installation and integration within the A320/A330/A350/A380 fuselage.
- Ensure compliance with Airbus design standards and certification requirements.
- Conduct tolerance stack-up and interface analysis.
- Support weight reduction and cost optimization activities.
- Coordinate with stress, manufacturing, systems, and production teams.
- Resolve production and in-service issues through design changes.
- Prepare engineering documentation, including:
- 2D drawings
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Engineering Change Requests (ECR)
- Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
