Shop OS is building AI-powered tools for e-commerce and D2C brands, and our content output- ad creatives, product films, social videos- is a big part of how we show that off.

We're hiring an AI Video Creator who can prompt AI generation tools as confidently as they cut in Premiere Pro. A big part of this role is writing and refining prompts in our own tool to generate video clips, and using Nano Banana for image generation - then editing those outputs into finished, ship-ready content. You'll also work inside Shop OS's own generation tools and workflow, so you should be someone who picks up new AI pipelines fast and isn't precious about doing things the "old" editing way when a generation tool gets there quicker.

Role: Open to full time (in-office) or freelancers (project-based).

Key Responsibilities

- Write and refine prompts to generate video clips for ads, product content, and social
- Use Nano Banana to generate and iterate on image assets for thumbnails, product visuals, and video inserts
- Work inside Shop OS's internal generation tools and follow our content generation workflow end to end- from prompt to raw output to final edit
- Edit and assemble AI-generated and traditionally shot footage into finished videos using Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Iterate on prompts when a generation doesn't land- know what to change in the prompt versus what to fix in the edit
- Cut rapid-paced, scroll-stopping content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and paid ad placements
- Color grade and color correct footage to match brand visual identity across all output
- Sync audio, add sound design, licensed music, and voiceovers to match pacing and mood
- Work directly with the creative/marketing team to turn briefs and scripts into prompt-ready generation plans
- Manage multiple video projects at once and hit release deadlines without dropping quality
- Organize and maintain a clean asset library- prompts, raw AI outputs, project files, exports




- Stay current on new AI generation tools and prompting techniques, and bring back what's actually usable

Required Skills

- 1+ years of hands-on video editing experience, ideally for social/ad content
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Hands-on prompting experience with Higgsfield or a comparable AI video generation tool
- Working knowledge of Nano Banana or similar AI image generation models
- Comfortable learning and working inside a company's internal AI generation workflow, not just off-the-shelf tools
- Understanding of pacing, hooks, and what makes short-form content perform on Instagram/YouTube
- Comfortable with color grading and basic sound design
- Can take a rough brief and turn it into a finished, on-brand edit — deciding what to prompt versus what to shoot or edit manually
- Good eye for framing, composition, and visual storytelling
- Organized- can manage several projects, prompt iterations, and versions without losing track

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience prompting across multiple AI generation platforms (video and image)
- Experience editing specifically for e-commerce, D2C, or performance marketing brands
- Basic motion graphics/animation skills beyond standard AE templates
- A portfolio or reel that shows both traditional edits and AI-generated content
- Prior experience in a startup or fast-moving in-house creative team

Education Requirements

No specific degree required. Relevant diploma/certification in film editing, media production, or similar is a plus- but a strong portfolio and real prompting skill matter more than formal education here.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 1 year of professional video editing experience, ideally with some exposure to AI-generated content or short-form/social content. Freelance or agency experience counts.
