with professional qualifications such as CA or CMA being highly desirable. Candidates should possess a minimum of 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within private equity-backed or SaaS environments. Expertise in U.S.

GAAP, especially ASC 606 and revenue recognition standards, is essential. Proficiency in modern ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is required, along with advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis. Strong communication skills are necessary to translate complex financial data into transparent insights for non-accountants.

A demonstrated track record of process improvement, automation, and mentoring junior staff will set candidates apart.

- Execute the complete month-end close process, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and accruals in accordance with U.S. GAAP standards.
- Document all significant balance sheet variances exceeding $50,000, providing detailed explanations linked to operational drivers.
- Perform variance analysis across monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets to identify root causes and inform management decisions.
- Collaborate with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;) team to develop accurate annual budgets, forecasts, and reforecasts that reflect accruals and working capital dynamics.

- Mentor and guide junior staff accountants on complex accounting entries, reconciliation techniques, and U.S. GAAP compliance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement changes with measurable ROI, and oversee their deployment across the finance team.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements, proactively identify errors, and prevent discrepancies before audits.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial transactions and variances.

Benefits Emergence offers a competitive monthly compensation of ₹21,000, along with the flexibility of a remote working environment based in India. The organization provides a range of benefits, which will be communicated upon hiring, designed to support employee well-being and professional growth. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of core accounting infrastructure within a rapidly expanding private equity-backed software platform.
