Role Description The Academic Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This position involves guiding prospective and existing students in selecting suitable courses and programs aligned with their academic goals and interests. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, explaining Vedantu’s offerings, addressing student and parent queries, and supporting learners in their academic planning and progress.

The Academic

Counselor collaborates with teaching and operations teams to ensure a smooth student experience, provides regular follow-ups,



and maintains accurate records of interactions. The role also includes participating in outreach activities, sharing feedback to improve services, and helping students stay motivated and engaged with their learning journey.

Qualifications

- Strong student counseling and academic advising skills, with the ability to support diverse learners.
- Excellent communication skills, including clear, empathetic, and professional interaction with students and parents.
- Experience or training in career counseling and education, with an understanding of academic pathways and examinations.
- Relevant educational background in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Ability to build trust, handle sensitive conversations, and maintain confidentiality.
- Comfort with using digital tools and CRM systems for tracking student interactions and follow-ups.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in documentation.
- Prior experience in academic counseling, edtech, or education services is an advantage.
