Apave International - India is looking for an experienced Inspection Engineer with a solid background in the inspection of pipes, pipe fittings, forgings, and castings . The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in vendor inspections, quality assurance, non-destructive testing (NDT), and compliance with international standards such as ASTM, ASME, and API .

Qualifications

Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering
/n
ASNT Level II certification in RT, PT, MT, and UT
/n

/n

/n

Experience

/n

/n
Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC or Third-Party Inspection (TPI)
/n
Proven experience in inspection of pipes, pipe fittings, forgings, and castings
/n
Exposure to manufacturing environments such as pipe/fitting manufacturers, foundries, forging companies, steel plants, or heavy engineering industries
/n

Key Responsibilities

/n

/n
Conduct vendor inspections for pipes, pipe fittings, forgings, and castings at manufacturing facilities.
/n
Review engineering drawings,



Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Material Test Certificates (MTCs), and quality documentation.
/n
Witness and verify dimensional inspections, NDT activities, hydrostatic testing, heat treatment, and other manufacturing processes.
/n
Ensure compliance with customer specifications and applicable ASTM, ASME, API, and international quality standards.
/n
Prepare detailed inspection reports, release notes, punch lists, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
/n
Coordinate with clients, vendors, and project teams to resolve quality-related issues.
/n
Maintain inspection records and provide timely updates on inspection status.
/n

Preferred Skills

/n

/n
Experience in Third-Party Inspection (TPI) is highly desirable.
/n
Solid knowledge of ASTM, ASME, API, and relevant international codes and standards.
/n
Additional NDT certifications in UT, MT, PT, and RT will be an advantage.
/n
