The Consultant - Md Medicine will be responsible for providing high-quality, ethical and compassionate medical care to patients attending the hospital. The position will provide clinical leadership to the Medicine Department and contribute to the hospital's mission of providing accessible and affordable healthcare to the community.

The doctor will be expected to maintain high standards of clinical practice while working within the service-oriented and non-profit values of the NGO.
Key Responsibilities

A. Clinical Responsibilities

Examine, diagnose and manage patients presenting with medical illnesses.

Provide outpatient (OPD), inpatient (IPD) and emergency medical services as assigned.

Manage acute and chronic medical conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, respiratory diseases, cardiac conditions, infections, gastrointestinal disorders and other internal medicine conditions.

Conduct detailed history-taking,



clinical examination and appropriate investigations.

Develop evidence-based treatment plans and review patient progress.

Attend to medical emergencies and provide appropriate stabilization and referral when required.

Conduct daily rounds of admitted patients.

Review investigation reports and modify treatment accordingly.

Maintain appropriate clinical documentation, case sheets, discharge summaries and medical records.

Provide appropriate referrals to specialists and higher centres whenever required.

Ensure rational prescribing and responsible use of investigations and medicines.
