Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant to join our Emergency & Casualty Department for the night shift. The candidate will assist duty doctors and consultants in providing timely and quality patient care during emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Duty Doctors in assessing and managing emergency and casualty patients.
- Record patient history, vital signs, and clinical observations accurately.
- Perform initial patient assessment and triage under medical supervision.
- Assist in emergency procedures and resuscitation activities.
- Monitor patient condition and promptly report any changes to the Duty Doctor.
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and referrals.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Assist in medication administration as per doctor's instructions.
- Ensure readiness of emergency equipment and supplies.
- Coordinate with Nursing, Laboratory, Radiology, and other departments for patient care.
- Handle medico-legal cases as per hospital protocols.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards.
- Provide compassionate care and support to patients and attendants.
Requirements:
- BHMS Qualification.
- 2–5 years of experience in Emergency, Casualty, ICU, or Critical Care settings.
- Valuable clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts.
- Strong decision-making and emergency management skills.
- Knowledge of hospital documentation and patient care protocols.
