The Service & Spare Parts Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the overall operations of the Service Workshop and Spare Parts Department. The role includes achieving service and spare parts business targets, ensuring efficient workshop operations, maintaining optimum spare parts inventory, improving customer satisfaction, and managing the service and spare parts teams.

The position requires strong coordination between the workshop and spare parts departments to ensure timely vehicle repairs, reduce turnaround time, improve productivity, and increase customer retention.

- Key Roles and Responsibilities1. Service Operations Management Manage the day-to-day operations of the two-wheeler service workshop.
- Ensure smooth workflow and proper allocation of jobs to technicians.
- Monitor the quality of repairs and servicing.
- Ensure timely delivery of vehicles to customers.
- Reduce vehicle turnaround time.
- Monitor workshop productivity and technician efficiency.
- Ensure proper job card and service processes are followed.
- Handle major customer complaints and escalations.
- 2. Spare Parts Management Manage the complete spare parts department and inventory.
- Ensure adequate availability of rapid-moving and critical spare parts.
- Monitor spare parts stock levels regularly.
- Plan and place spare parts orders as per business requirements.
- Avoid overstocking and shortage of spare parts.
- Monitor ageing and non-moving inventory.
- Ensure proper storage and organisation of spare parts.
- Maintain accurate inventory and stock records.
- 3. Service Revenue & Business Targets Achieve monthly and annual service revenue targets.
- Achieve spare parts sales and revenue targets.
- Increase labour sales and workshop productivity.
- Promote value-added services and periodic maintenance.
- Improve service retention and repeat customer visits.
- Monitor daily business performance and take corrective actions when required.
- 4. Team Management Lead and manage Service Advisors,



Technicians, Workshop Staff, Spare Parts Executives, and Store Staff.
- Monitor employee attendance and productivity.
- Allocate responsibilities and set performance targets.
- Conduct regular team meetings.
- Identify training and development requirements.
- Maintain discipline and professional behaviour within the departments.
- 5. Workshop & Spare Parts CoordinationEnsure effective coordination between the Service Workshop and Spare Parts Department.
- Ensure required spare parts are available for scheduled repairs.
- Reduce delays caused by spare parts shortages.
- Monitor pending vehicles and ensure faster completion.
- Improve communication between Service Advisors, Technicians, and Spare Parts staff.
- 6. Customer Satisfaction & RetentionEnsure excellent customer service throughout the service process.
- Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor customer feedback and satisfaction.
- Ensure customers are informed about repair estimates and delivery timelines.
- Implement customer retention and service reminder activities.
- 7. Inventory ControlConduct regular physical stock verification.
- Ensure proper stock reconciliation.
- Monitor stock discrepancies and take corrective action.
- Control inventory losses and pilferage.
- Monitor obsolete, slow-moving, and non-moving spare parts.
- Ensure proper inventory documentation and system updates.
- 8. Quality & ComplianceEnsure technicians follow manufacturer-recommended service procedures.
- Maintain workshop safety and cleanliness standards.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Follow dealership policies and manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensure all required service and spare parts documentation is maintained.
- 9. Reporting & MISPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for Service and Spare Parts operations.
- Monitor service revenue and spare parts sales.
- Track workshop productivity and efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and stock movement.
- Submit performance reports to Branch Management.
