Description
Bristlecone India Limited is seeking a Senior Consultant for its S4 HANA Technical – Delivery team. The role focuses on SAP ABAP Gateway and OData services, driving end‑to‑end development, enhancements, interface creation, debugging, and production support for complex S/4HANA landscapes. The ideal candidate will mentor junior staff, ensure best‑practice coding standards, and collaborate closely with functional and infrastructure teams to deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain ABAP programs, classes, and OData services using SAP Gateway.
- Implement enhancements, user exits, BADI, and custom interfaces to meet functional requirements.
- Perform detailed debugging, root‑cause analysis, and resolution of production incidents.
- Provide 24/7 production support and ensure timely issue resolution and system stability.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers.
- Optimize performance of ABAP and OData services through tuning and best practices.




- Participate in S/4HANA migration and upgrade activities, ensuring compatibility of custom objects.
- Prepare technical documentation, test cases, and support knowledge transfer sessions.
- Stay updated with SAP roadmap, new ABAP features, and emerging OData standards.

Qualifications

- Minimum 8 years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience.
- Solid expertise in SAP Gateway, OData services, and RESTful APIs.
- Proven experience with ABAP enhancements, BADI, user exits, and custom interfaces.
- Solid debugging skills and a track record of successful production support.
- Experience with S/4HANA technical landscape and migration projects.
- Knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, ECC, and related SAP modules.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- SAP certification (e.g., ABAP Development, SAP Gateway) is a plus.
