Software Test Engineer (STE) – Automation Testing

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer (STE) with robust expertise in automation testing frameworks and tools including Playwright, Selenium, Katalon, Watermelon, and Java. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts, ensuring software quality, and supporting continuous testing initiatives across web and enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, Selenium, Katalon, and Watermelon frameworks.
Develop robust test automation solutions using Java and industry best practices.
Analyze business and functional requirements to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
Identify, track,



and report defects using defect management tools.
Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA teams to ensure quality deliverables.
Optimize automation frameworks for scalability, maintainability, and reusability.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
Prepare test execution reports and provide quality metrics to stakeholders.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
Strong experience in Java programming.
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
Experience in Playwright Automation Framework.
Experience working with Katalon Studio.
Knowledge of Watermelon/Test Automation Frameworks.
Experience with API Testing (REST Assured, Postman, Swagger).
Understanding of TestNG, JUnit, Maven, Gradle.
Experience with Git/GitHub/Bitbucket.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.
Familiarity with SQL and database t
